Christina Currie

Christina Currie has spent more than 30 years orchestrating stylish celebrations for hundreds of clients. Prior to event planning, Christina’s expertise began on the culinary side of the business. She started her own catering company and cake designing business in her early 20’s, starting her hospitality career as an entrepreneur. She developed her early business skills and experience in the industry, and began planning national and international events for corporate companies. In 2004, she established her event planning business and has produced over 500 events from fundraisers to luxury weddings and private parties.

Christina believes in finding the story behind each of her clients so that she can produce a customized event. Christina believes in walking her clients through each step of the process; the key to a successful event.

She is passionate about giving back to the community; the one that continues to support her family. She is also actively involved with several local charities. As a founding member of the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce Women’s Biz Net, Christina coached other women how to grow their businesses. She served on the board from 2006-2015.

In 2015, Christina was honored with the 18th Annual Influential Women in Business Award and was honored with the prestigious Athena International Women’s Leadership Award.

Masumi Amin’s attention to detail drives her passion for design. As an event designer for Christina Currie Events, she pays close attention to transforming each client’s vision into a reality. She expands on her degree in interior design to create technical space plans, inspiring color stories and concept boards. Masumi’s aesthetic eye carries through all aspects of your celebration from initial client meetings, to design development, print and implementation of your special event.

In addition to being a seasoned planner for Indian Weddings, Masumi produces memorable events with over 600 guests nationally and internationally.

She is also co-founder of Ameya Performing Arts, a Bollywood dance troupe committed to bringing the vibrancy, energy and grace of Indian dance to the audiences of the Chicagoland area.

Nicole Tardif

Nicole Tardif brings over 10 years of experience in marketing and communications to the Christina Currie Events team. As Creative Marketing Manager for CCEs, Nicole drives the brand through social media, e-communications and print media. Her creative writing and promotional marketing skills are motivated by her desire to exceed clients’ expectations. She pays close attention to detail, and focuses on the unique highlights of each event.

Nicole passions are fitness and food. Her greatest joy is spending time with her two daughters, and enjoys date nights with her husband.

Olivia Zyzda’s outgoing nature and contagious laugh helps her connect with clients from their first interaction with her. You could say that their party begins with her bubbly personality! Olivia knew at a young age that she had a passion for people and celebrating others. Her desire to be a part of others’ milestones led her to study Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management. Joining CCE as an intern, her quick wit and organizational skills allowed her to progress into a seasoned event planner in no time! She is dedicated to planning and executing clients’ dream events from start to finish in collaboration with the team, adding finesse and fun to the process.

Outside of CCE, Olivia’s passions are traveling, exploring new places and indulging in reality television
