A challenge that comes with hosting a well-rounded holiday gathering is figuring out menu proportions. Thanksgiving dinner in particular focuses on hearty and satisfying dishes. It is a meal for families to show off their new recipes, or showcase sizable classics. Traditionally, the table is filled with a variety of sides and one or two main dishes; i.e. turkey or ham. Since there is so much food, we want to make sure that the starters are merely a warm up. CCE always recommends a light charcuterie board. Fill the fun display with festive meats, cheeses, olives, nuts, and dried fruits. Add a side basket of crackers and toasted crostini bread to pair with the sides and voilà!
