It brings us joy to help others in need. Christina Currie Events focuses on charitable causes; fulfilling projects with rewarding results. I’m talking today about a cause that has been close to our hearts, Batten Disease. There are a couple different forms of Batten Disease that are classified by age of onset, but all have the same basic cause, symptoms and outcome. Over time, affected children suffer mental impairment, seizures, and progressive loss of sight and motor skills. I was introduced to the terrible illness when a client’s young daughter was diagnosed in 2008. Every year, CCE has campaigned for a cure and assisted the affected family with an annual fundraiser. Donating our time and efforts to help raise awareness and testing for treatment. This lighthearted affair takes place on November 11th at the Doubletree in Oakbrook, celebrating the strength of fighters and providing hope for the future.
