Entertainment is essential at any event, and holiday parties are no exception. Finding the right mix of classical hymns with modern tones is the perfect background to compliment your crowds’ conversations. Enlighten your guests further with a live performance, which will make your event stand out from the rest! Christina Currie Events turns to our exceptional vocalist and talent agent Rose Colella with Lola Bard Productions when our clients are looking for showstopping performances. We sat down with Rose to get a few insights on her business this time of year.
CCE: When a prospective client calls you for holiday music, what questions do you ask them before quoting a price?
LB: I always ask three questions:
Are you interested in live jazz, classical music, or our holiday carolers? How many guests will be in attendance? What is the venue & time frame for the entertainment?
CCE: How far in advance do you prefer customers reserve your entertainment for a holiday party?
LB: Lola Bard Productions represents a large quantity of Chicago’s top musicians, so it’s never too late to book entertainment. However, some of our most well-renowned groups are booked months in advance, so the earlier the better!
CCE: Is there a minimum charge for your entertainers to work during the holidays?
LB: On weekends, our pricing is based on a 3-hour minimum, and on weekdays it is based on a 2-hour minimum.
CCE: What extra costs should a client consider when hiring entertainment?
LB: All of our costs are built into our pricing, (such as a sound system, caroler costumes, etc.), with the exception for parking. Parking costs, which can be hourly, are added onto the contracted price after the event takes place.
CCE: Is there one holiday party that you’ve provided entertainment for in the past that stands out in your mind?
LB: My favorite holiday parties are always Christina Currie Events parties. Christina always creates the most beautiful, warm, and stylish affairs. Her team takes care of every detail so the host and hostess can relax and entertain their guests. Creative elements like hot chocolate bars and specially-designed holiday trees really stand out in my mind. I’ve had the pleasure of singing holiday music with my jazz trio at Christina’s parties, and our holiday carolers have made appearances as well.
Remember, if you’re looking for that added touch to your party, look no further than Lola Bard Productions. Her talent will amaze you and your guests, and provide the perfect entertainment accessory to your affair! Thank you Rose for your noteworthy words.
‘Tis the season,
