Little Dreamer had the pleasure of bringing joy to deserving students in the District 220 schools. Our community assisted in providing good and services to make their birthday party dreams come true. The party recipients demonstrated honorable behavior in school and at home, proving to us how deserving they are of this magical memory.
Yaneli chose unicorns and rainbows as theme for her special day. The decor was a rainbow of colors accented by features of the mystical creature at her eighth birthday party. Guests were invited to have their faces painted upon entering the majestic scene and delighted to partake in a Polaroid photo op for lasting memories. The ‘photo booth’ was framed by a garland of rainbow colored balloons. Unicorn and rainbow accessories were handed out to complete the silly and sentimental photos. Kid friendly foods, pink hot chocolate with colorful confetti and mini marshmallows, rainbow cake and unicorn-horned cupcakes were crowd pleasers. The highlight of the morning was a pony dressed as a unicorn to round out the unforgettable experience!
Our
second deserving student, Matthew chose a soccer-themed party for his ninth birthday. His passion for the sport was shown throughout the decor and activities at an indoor gym. Local athletes volunteered to teach soccer techniques to the young students. A magician engaged guests, which added another element of entertainment and enlightened party goers. Pizza was the perfect fuel, as well as the sport themed cookies, cupcakes, and bundt cake.
The events were fulfilling and rewarding for both students, their families and our Little Dreamer team. We are thrilled with our first year’s success, and can’t wait to see future birthday party dreams come true!
